Omeet is a brand owned by Filabs, a French company registered as Filabs (SASU). Our app is available under the name Omeet IO on app stores, and our official website is omeet.io.
When you use Omeet, we collect the following data:

- Email address
- Password (for email login only, stored securely and hashed)
1.2 Optional Profile Information (Only if You Choose to Provide It)
- Profile picture
- Birthdate
- Languages spoken
- Gender
- Bio
- Posts (including travel dates & locations if shared)
1.3 Automatically Collected Data
- Authentication & Session Data: We use mandatory cookies for login and account security.
- Analytics Data (Only if You Accept Cookies): We send data to Mixpanel for analytics only if you accept tracking cookies. No ads, no third-party tracking for marketing purposes.
We use your data to:
- Provide and improve the Omeet experience.
- Facilitate connections between travelers, expats, and language learners.
- Ensure security and moderation within the app.
- Analyze app performance to improve user experience (only with consent).
- Communicate important updates (without spam or intrusive marketing).
- You are only visible when you create a post. If you don’t post, other users cannot find or contact you.
- Only your chosen display name and bio are public when you post. Other details (profile picture, age, gender) are only visible if you choose to share them.
- Messages are private and visible only to participants.
- We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or third-party marketers.
🔒 We prioritize privacy and secure data handling.
- If you delete your account in-app, your data is automatically removed.
- Backups are retained for 7 days before being permanently erased.
- You can update posts and remove profile details at any time.
🔹 Control Your Visibility: No posts = no visibility. You can delete posts anytime.
🔹 Edit or Delete Your Data: You can update or remove profile details whenever you want.
🔹 Account Deletion: Available directly in-app; all data is deleted permanently after 7 days.
🔹 Opt-Out of Analytics: Analytics tracking only happens if you accept cookies; otherwise, only essential authentication cookies are used.
